The Navic is a modular, motorized, steerable scanner designed to carry multiple attachments used in various scanning and inspection applications. The remote operated scanning platform is capable of circumferential scans from 70 mm (2.75 in) minimum OD to flat surfaces and longitudinal scans from 305 mm (12 in) minimum OD to flat. Its joystick-controlled steering allows for smooth and accurate weld tracking.

The modular design of the Navic allows it to carry multiple attachments used for various scanning and inspection applications.

Features

Steerable Operation: The handheld controller offers steering control and variable drive speed for smooth and accurate weld tracking or corrosion mapping on pipes, tanks and vessels.
Low Profile Design: The Navic requires a radial clearance of 7 cm (2.75 in), which allows for inspection in limited access applications.4
Magnetic Wheels: Using rare-earth magnets, the Navic can operate on vertical, horizontal and inverted surfaces.
Scan Versatility: The Navic can facilitate circumferential scans on pipes as small as 7 cm (2.75 in) OD and 61 cm (24 in) ID. In addition, flat surface scans and longitudinal scanning on pipes as small as 30.5 cm (12 in) OD is possible.
Remote Control: An ergonomic handheld controller includes programming of raster patterns, drive paths and diagnostics.
Backpack: The optional backpack conveniently carries ultrasonic accessories with the unit.5
Modular Design: Various probe holder frames and lengths of raster arms are available for use with the Navic system.
Built-in Encoder: Multiple encoders are integrated into the body of the Navic. Encoder output is fully compatible with all standard instruments.
Quick setup: The optional crawler removal system (CRS) allows for quick and easy installation onto, and removal, from scan surfaces.5
Irrigation Kit: The included irrigation kit contains the necessary hoses, fittings, tubing, etc, required to connect a couplant pump to the probe(s) being carried by the scanner.
Tools: Tools for all adjustment and manipulation of your scanner and components are included with the system.
Warranty: 3 year limited warranty on all products.
