JIREH’s scanning products include a wide range of manual scanners to assist with semi-automated UT and other advanced inspections. The ease of use and portability of manual scanners allow technician or operator to move between scans quickly and easily. The manual scanner line-up includes handheld magnetic-wheeled scanners (for ferrous surfaces such as carbon steel) and chain scanners (for non-ferrous surfaces such as stainless steel or HDPE) to simultaneously carry probes and wedges for Phased Array and Time-of-flight-diffraction (TOFD) inspection. Encoded Manual Ultrasonic Examinations (EMUT) can be performed using a variety of JIREH’s manual scanners.

Manual Magnetic Products (Ferrous)

The Microbe – Manual Magnetic Scanners

The Microbe is small, hand-held scanners with built in encoders and magnetic wheels.  This scanner is completely configurable for both phased array, TOFD, and conventional UT with single or multiple probes.

The Stix – Modular Manual Scanners

The Stix consists of a modular probe holding system that can be used to create a custom scanner for any type of inspection. The Stix is completely configurable for both phased array, TOFD, and conventional UT with single or multiple probes.

Manual Chain Products (Non-Ferrous)

The Rotix – Manual Chain Scanners

Rotix scanners are generally used for circumferential weld inspection, in addition to manual corrosion mapping (semi-automated UT) on non-ferrous inspection surfaces. The Rotix is completely configurable for both phased array, TOFD, and conventional UT with single or multiple probes.

The Circ-it – Low Profile Small Diameter Scanners

The Circ-it scanners are designed to provide encoded position of probes circumferentially around piping and tubing. Due to the ultra low profile design, the Circ-it scanner can operate in an 11mm (0.433in) radial clearance envelope. The Circ-it is completely configurable for both dual and single probe scanning applications.bes.

Other Manual Products

The Odi – Modular Encoders

The Odi encoders are used to provide encoded position of probe along the scan axis. The small size of the Odi makes it a perfect tool for hard to access areas or where space is limited. The Odi-II can carry a pair of phased array or TOFD probes, for basic weld inspection.
